At the Digital Bridge 2025 event, Astana International University (AIU) and NITEC signed a memorandum of cooperation to advance artificial intelligence technologies

According to this agreement, both parties will collaborate to enhance the integration of artificial intelligence within Kazakhstan’s digital ecosystem. Initially, NITEC will offer AIU students professional internships, providing them with practical experience and skills in the field of artificial intelligence. Successful interns may be offered employment with NITEC, allowing them to contribute to the development of digital technologies in Kazakhstan.
Additionally, the memorandum outlines plans for the following initiatives:
- Implementing dual education and internship mechanisms to improve the skills of future specialists.
- Facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experience through joint seminars, conferences, and projects.
- Collaborating on software development and IT system creation.
- Establishing joint working groups and committees to promote educational and research initiatives.
This memorandum ensures that students gain direct access to practical experience within Kazakhstan’s leading state-owned IT company. It offers young people a chance to strengthen their theoretical knowledge, receive mentorship, and work on real digital solutions that are in demand in the market.
For NITEC, collaborating with the university means training young specialists who possess the relevant skills in artificial intelligence, big data, and digital services. This is especially important given the President’s directives to enhance the national IT ecosystem and digital economy.
This initiative represents AIU’s commitment to the Digital Kazakhstan state strategy and aims to bolster the country’s position in developing future technologies.
