On February 25-26, the Indoor Football Tournament named “Challenge Cup” was hosted by National Information Technologies JSC. 7 teams participated in the tournament, including those from NIT JSC units (Operation Unit, Government Agencies Interaction Unit, Operation Maintenance Unit, Strategic Management and Open Government Unit, IT Center in Astana) and Ministry of Information and Communication’s and “Zerde” Holding’s teams. 

Following the results of the selection day, teams representing Operation Unit,Strategic Management and Open Government Unit, IT Center in Astana and  MIC of the RoK broke into semi-final.

Fighting for the 3rd prize, MIC of the RoK’s team made a mash onStrategic Management and Open Government Unit team with the score 2:1.

The teams of IT center of Astana and Operation Unit competed in the final game for the cup. The game ended with the score 1:1. Eventually, after penalty kicks, the team of IT Center in Astana became the champion of the tournament.

In addition, the following players were awarded as winners in various nominations: Azamat Niyetullayev (IT center in Astana): “The Best Goalkeeper”; Daulet Bekmanov (MIC of the RoK): “The Best Quarter-Back”; Azamat Magroyev (Strategic Management and Open Government Unit): “The Best Forward”; Adlet Abdumomynov (IT center in Astana): “The Best Goalscorer” and Bagdat Zalgarayev (Operation Unit): “The Best Player”. 

According to the host, the tournament is to be an annual event. The team which won the tournament will transfer the cup to the following year winner.
