From now on, citizens will be able to check their social status within the compulsory health insurance on the Egov portal. To do so, they will only need to indicate their IINs. The service will result in a message with one of the social statuses: “The employed", “Recipients of social benefits”, “Children under 18”, “The registered self-employed (individual entrepreneurs, owner-operated farms)”. In the event that a citizen was not registered as an individual entrepreneur or employee, he/she will get the notice: “the status was not determined”.

In determining the social status, the information of who would make monthly contributions and deductions to the social health insurance system is also provided. Thus, for persons whose status was defined as “Recipients of social benefits”, and “Children under 18”, such monthly contributions and deductions to the social health insurance system will be paid by Government.

For persons with “The employed” statuses, such monthly contributions and deductions to the social health insurance system will be paid by Employer.

The persons whose status was defined as “The registered self-employed (individual entrepreneurs, owner-operated farms)” will pay such contributions and deductions to social health insurance system themselves from July 1, 2017, with monthly amount of contribution being 5% of twice the amount of minimal salary. In 2017, the amount of contribution is KZT 2446 per month.
