Flood victims can apply for assistance via smartphone
The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population and National Information Technologies JSC implemented the capability for the flood victims to apply for assistance via the eGov Mobile application.
Currently, the applications are accepted in the following regions: Akmola, North Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Kostanay and Atyrau.
To apply, you need to log in/register in the eGov Mobile app.
Upon authorization in the app, on the homepage in the "Popular services" section, select "Submission of application for recovery of material damage caused by the floods".
You will be redirected to the questionnaire, where you need to select and fill-in all the required fields. Afterwards, upon questionnaire completion, sign the application by entering a short code or the built-in biometrics of your device (Face ID, Touch ID).
The application is sent to the local executive authorities of the relevant area through the "Social Assistance" automated information system. After consideration of the application, an on-site assessment of the affected property will be organized and the necessary assistance will be provided.
The introduced mechanism will ensure total control over the process of assistance provision during emergency situations, including digitalization of all the data.
On April 15, the new capability was launched and tested in Akmola region, including pre-training of employees from local executive bodies. At the moment, any victim can request assistance using the new format.
