New service for checking the status of custodians and guardians launched on eGov.kz portal

A new digital service has been launched on the eGov.kz portal that allows you to request information on custody and guardianship. This simplifies the procedure for verifying information on the guardians of orphaned minors and children deprived of parental care.

The service allows users to confirm their custodian or guardian status online for government agencies and authorized persons. To get a certificate, simply send a request that should be confirmed by a guardian. All data is automatically downloaded from government databases, ensuring the speed and transparency of the process.

To get the service, the user needs to:

  • sign in to the eGov.kz portal and go to «For Citizenry» - «Transport and Communications» - «Communications»;
  • select «Service for issuance of certificates to third parties» and click «Request Online»;
  • enter the IIN and select the service «Issuance of certificates of trusteeship and guardianship»;
  • fill-in the required fields, select a region and click «Request».

A custodian or a guardian for whom the certificate is being requested will then receive an SMS notification from 1414 asking them to confirm the request. In addition, a message about the request will be displayed in the personal account on the eGov.kz portal. It is necessary to confirm the request within two hours of receiving it for the security and protection of personal data.

If the user confirms the request, the certificate becomes available in the personal account in the «Service Obtainment History» section. In case of refusal, the reason will be displayed on the status page, and a relevant notification will be sent to the «Inbox» section of your personal account.

The new service was launched thanks to the cooperation of the Public Services Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Information Technologies JSC and Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
