One more document was added to Digital Documents service
The Digital Documents service by MDDIAI, which includes documents of a citizen (national ID, passport, driver's license, etc.), documents about a family (marriage certificate, birth certificates for children) has been replenished with another document (Other Documents tab), namely insurance policy for vehicle owners, which enables each vehicle owner to have a digital version of a document.
Implementation of tools for the provision of national ID, diplomas, driver's license and other documents, including an insurance policy was initiated due to the need to solve everyday issues by citizens, which imply provision of documents in paper form. Thus, an issue was settled through active introduction of digital mobile solutions formed by the e-Gov infrastructure.
This service is available thanks to the coordinated work of MDDIAI (represented by National Information Technologies JSC and e-Gov Mobile platform) and NBRK (represented by State Credit Bureau JSC, an operator of the Single Insurance Database).
An insurance policy is a document confirming the fact of contractual relations between an insurer and a policyholder under mandatory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners.
"Similar to other digital documents, an insurance policy also has legal force on a par with a paper document and contains information about an insurance company, expiration date of an insurance policy, etc. All the information in this digital document is displayed through integration interaction with the information system of "State Credit Bureau" JSC. The Ministry will continue to digitize documents to ensure even more convenience to the population", told Bagdat Musin, Head of MDDIAI.
The digital document provides citizens with a capability to view their document through a mobile application online as well as to verify its authenticity.
Information on availability or absence of an insurance policy is necessary to fulfill the requirements of the law on compulsory insurance, in particular, the civil liability of vehicle owners, it also can be used by citizens to control an insurance expiration date and for other purposes.
It should be noted that currently the Digital Documents service available at the eGov mobile app contains 20 documents (national ID, passport of citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, driving license, vaccination passport, PCR test and birth certificate, etc.), which are actively used by more than 7 million citizens.
Today, 678 public services are available in the eGov Mobile app, of which 204 services are from the eGov.kz portal and 474 services are from e-License Portal for individuals. About 2.4 million Kazakhstani citizens actively use it every month and about 50 thousand public services are delivered each month.
