Quasi-public organizations connected to correspondence with government agencies
National Information Technologies JSC, under the order from Ministry of Information and Communications informs of quasi-public sector’s being connected to the government agencies’ Single e-Workflow System(SEWS).
The systems integration objective is to:
- reduce paper document interchange;
- reduce budget for postal services;
- improve records management processes’ efficiency and transparency;
- facilitate search for e-documents and routing;
- save time for documents delivery.
Now, quasi-public entities can, subject to being integrated, communicate with government agencies in digital format.
Upon the successful integration performed by NIT JSC in collaboration with Documentolog LLP, the Government for Citizens Public Corporation and National “Zerde” ICT Holding were the first to be connected to the interdepartmental correspondence.
Asset Turyssov,NIT Chairman of the Board: “For 9 months this year, the number of incoming and outgoing letters was more than 51.5 thousand. Taking our company as an example, the 100% move to digital correspondence will allow our monthly saving over KZT 1.4 million in average for postal expenses, while annual saving sum may be nearly 17 million. Currently, the parties to interdepartmental e-workflow are 74 central government agencies with their committees, 1609 local government agencies, and 2 370 entities under local government agencies”.
“We have performed the works on certification of DOC24 gateway for information security, so those who would like to join the formal digital correspondence will not have to undergo certification for information security of the RoK, as all the required works will be done by ourselves. However, to be connected to SEWS from the NIT side, the regulation was worked out, under which a company wishing to connect to SEWS correspondence, must send a formal request to MIC of the RoK for receiving the encryption key and being recorded in the counterpart directory. The encryption key will allow guaranteeing the impossibility of hacking and reading the sent letter by anyone except the addressee. Moreover, each non-governmental organization that has undergone the certification for information security, in accordance with the “Rules for Integration of e-Government Informatization Entities” approved with Order by Acting Minister of Information and Communications No.123 of March 29, 2018, can integrate with governmental systems.
