Kazakhstani citizens can ban themselves from gambling and betting for up to 10 years via eGov Mobile
Previously, users could choose a ban period of between 6 and 12 months, but now the maximum period of self-exclusion from gambling and betting can be up to 10 years. You can use the service in the eGov Mobile application.
The service simplifies the process of setting a gambling ban and significantly reduces the time taken to process applications. It allows any citizen to restrict access to all licensed gambling sites and online betting platforms. It is important to note that the service is only available to people over the age of 21.
To get the service, follow the steps:
- log in to the eGov Mobile app and go to the «Services» → «Tourism and Sports» tab;
- select «Service for restricting participation in gambling and betting»;
- specify the year and month of the restriction end, click «Order service»;
- sign an application using a quick access code, Face ID/Touch ID.
Upon submitting the application, the user will automatically be added to the list of persons prohibited from participating in gambling, without the possibility of revoking the application. For those who have previously issued a restriction, the function to extend its validity is available. When the application is re-submitted, the system will inform the user of the current status of the restriction and offer to extend it.
The updated capability was implemented thanks to the cooperation of the Public Services Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Information Technologies JSC and Regulation of Gambling Business and Lottery Committee under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
