Services for the disabled udpated on eGov.kz
Thanks to the updated service, guardians of persons over the age of eighteen who have been declared incapacitated by the court can apply for special services online on the eGov.kz portal. The creation of a barrier-free environment in the field of public services ensures equal opportunities for different categories of citizens, including people with disabilities.
Previously, the guardians of persons over the age of eighteen who had been declared incapacitated by the court had to collect paper documents and wait in queues to apply for special services. The updated service allows the required documents to be submitted online, significantly reducing the time taken.
The guardians can now apply online for the following types of public services:
- providing persons with disabilities with prosthetic and orthopedic assistance;
- providing the services of an individual assistant to persons with disabilities of the first group who have difficulty in movement;
- providing persons with disabilities with technical prosthetic and orthopedic assistance;
- providing the disabled with specialized movement aids;
- providing the disabled and children with disabilities with health resort treatment;
- providing the hearing-impaired persons with the services of a sign language specialist (sixty hours per year);
- providing special social homecare services;
- providing special social services in the special social service centers (organizations).
To get the service, the user needs to:
- sign in to the eGov.kz portal and go to «Social Security Provision» section;
- then, in the section «Support for people with disabilities», select the relevant service from the list;
- sign the service using a DS.
The public service delivery result is available in the personal account («Service Obtainment History» section). Notification on the application processing status is sent within the period specified by the government agency.
The new service capability was launched thanks to the cooperation of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, the Public Services Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and National Information Technologies JSC.
