Beginning from April 23, 2022, video verification of Digital ID for the issuance of digital signature (DS) on the eGov.kz Portal will be available without the need to use a camera on a computer.

The process of DS remote issuance for residents of the country has become even more available and convenient. The Digital ID video verification service enables users undergoing the identification procedure for remote obtainment of DS via a QR code using a mobile phone if there is no camera on the computer or it does not work. New updates are available both to individuals and legal entities.

"Issuance of DS is a very popular service on the eGov.kz Portal. This year alone, the service has already been delivered about 4.8 million times. We often get feedback that citizens do not have camera or it does not work on a computer. The changes make the process of DS remote obtainment easier and more convenient" said Rostislav Konyashkin, Chairman of the Board, National Information Technologies JSC.

To use the new updates, you need to point your phone's camera at a QR code displayed on a computer screen and undergo a video verification. Upon successful confirmation, one can go on with obtaining DS on a computer in a standard way.

It should be noted that it is recommended to undergo video verification using a QR code on one`s own mobile device.
