National Information Technologies Joint-Stock Company (NIT JSC) – is the largest company in the information technologies market of Kazakhstan.

The company was established in 2000 in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of April 4, 2000 No. 492 "On the development of a Single Information Space in the Republic of Kazakhstan".

By the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of January 29, 2016 No. 40, NIT JSC is defined as the Operator of e-Gov Information and Communication Infrastructure.

By the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of November 11, 2016 No. 696 "On reorganization of National Information Technologies Joint-Stock Company and "Kazsatnet" Joint-Stock Company, Kazsatnet NK JSC was joined to NIT JSC.

By the Order of the Chairman of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of October 11, 2022 No. 273/NK, NIT JSC was included into the State Register of Subjects of Special Law (hereinafter: the Register).

Pursuant to the Register, NIT JSC performs the following functions as the Operator:

1) Operator of the e-Gov Information and Communication Infrastructure, responsible for ensuring the functioning of the e-Gov information and communication infrastructure assigned to it;

2) National Operator (National Administrator) of the system of electronic vehicle passports (chassis passports) and electronic passports for self-propelled vehicles and other types of equipment, who organises work with the administrator of the electronic passport systems to ensure security and interaction with participants of the electronic passport system and authorities;

3) Operator of the National Artificial Intelligence Platform.
